What’s New for the 2025 Jeep Gladiator near El Paso, TX?

America’s favorite off-road brand, Jeep, is preparing for the release of the 2025 Jeep Gladiator near El Paso, TX, and with it, the launch of the Gladiator 4xe. As the date nears, Jeep enthusiasts and potential buyers eagerly anticipate what this plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant will offer. The Gladiator 4xe represents the brand’s ongoing commitment to uniting off-road capability with environmentally friendly technology, and here’s what we expect.

New for 2025

According to social media source LinkedIn, Jeep’s CEO, Antonio Filosa, confirmed that the 2025 Jeep Gladiator 4xe will launch with the pickup’s mid cycle refresh. He is said, “One of the many things I love about the Jeep community is how free they are with sharing feedback…the freedom of expression through color and customization, the freedom to choose the energy that moves you…Next year, we’ll extend that freedom of choice even further with a Gladiator 4xe option that will join the #1 and #2 best-selling plug-in hybrids in the U.S, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and the Grand Cherokee 4xe.”

The new Gladiator 4xe will have the distinctive blue tow hooks, badging, and optional graphics seen on the previously mentioned 4xe models. There’s also optimism that the new 4xe version will be offered in the Tuscadero Pink exterior paint, which was brought back by popular demand and is currently available on the 2024 model.

2025 Jeep Gladiator near El Paso, TX: Specs

The current Jeep Wrangler gets its power from a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that delivers 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, as does the current Jeep Gladiator. For this reason, we expect the PHEV powertrain will be the same as the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe (though exact specifications for the Gladiator 4xe have yet to be disclosed). This setup uses two electric motors and a 400-volt lithium-ion 14-kWh battery with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine, producing 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. It will likely be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard 4-wheel drive.

In addition, the battery pack is expected to provide around 22 miles of all-electric range, just like the Wrangler. This configuration should increase fuel economy and deliver instant torque for off-roading thrills. Since the Gladiator is essentially a Wrangler with a truck bed, you can expect outstanding off-road chops. Structural improvements introduced in 2024 models may also translate to better on-road performance.

We also know off-roading ability isn’t hurt by electrifying a vehicle, and if anything, the extra torque makes for better rock crawling. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is standard equipped with a 2:72:1 Selec-Trac® full-time 4WD system, while the Wrangler Rubicon and Rubicon X variants come with a Rock-Trac® heavy-duty full-time 4WD system. Because the Gladiator is just as competent as the Wrangler, we can expect the Gladiator 4xe to do the same, with the bonus of a truck bed to carry your gear!

The signature features of the Jeep Gladiator, such as the seven-slot grille, removable doors and roof panels, solid front and rear axles, and a 5-foot bed, will remain intact, as these are mainstays.

Interior and Tech

Inside, the Jeep Gladiator mimics the Wrangler’s design, featuring an upright dashboard with user-friendly controls. Expect convenience amenities like heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a waterproof push-button start. And thanks to the extended wheelbase,  you’ll get improved rear-seat legroom compared to the Wrangler, along with interior storage solutions.

Regarding technology, the Gladiator 4xe is expected to have a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen integrated with Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto. Options include a portable wireless speaker, a subwoofer, multiple USB ports, and a 115-volt outlet.

Although the base Sport trim may lack some active safety equipment, higher trims will offer forward collision warning w/ automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and advanced braking assistance. Standard side curtain airbags have been added for both rows.
